Need a quick and easy breakfast idea? A nourish bowl is one of my favorite breakfasts to make when I want something perfectly filling and nourishing. They are super easy to make and you can really play around with these to suit whatever ingredients you have in your kitchen cupboard.

Breakfast can sometimes feel like such a drag (if I’m being perfectly honest) and sometimes I don’t have the morning energy to think of what to make. So what did I do? I discovered that if you arrange pretty much everything you can find nicely in your bowl then you have a killer breakfast nourish bowl! Genius huh?

These nourish bowls can also be transformed into a to-go version for those busy mornings where you need to grab something on the way out the door. Simply arrange the ingredients like a parfait in a mason jar and keep in the fridge until needed.

CREAMY OATS WITH STEWED BERRIES

Nourishing Breakfast Bowls

Makes: 2 servings

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds
  • 100ml almond milk
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 2 Medjool dates
  • handful of raspberries
  • 1 orange
  • 1 banana
  • 1/2 cup granola of your choice (here is my recipe for chocolate granola)

Method:

  1. Mix the chia seeds and almond milk in a glass and allow them to swell while preparing the rest of the nourish bowl.
  2. Grab a chopping board and cut the orange and banana into slices. Cut the Medjool dates into little chunks and set the cutting board aside.
  3. In 2 bowls, divide the yogurt and granola in each. Arrange the orange, dates, and banana around the bowl as you want then spoon the chia seed mixture in too.
